Task. Read the workspace from the top down: the role home states what needs attention, the primary navigation opens the controlled registers, and the evidence badge on each value states how far that value can be trusted.
Reads as. Every figure carries a scope, a period, a basis, and an evidence state. A dash means the value is unknown or unavailable; it never means zero.
Derived from. Posted actuals, persisted forecast runs, governed plans, and operational registers. The page composes those sources; it does not invent a second calculation.
Controlled by. The database period state, the release gates, and the membership role. A read-only session can inspect every register and still cannot write.
Use it to. Move from a question to a register, then to the evidence path, in as few steps as possible.

Task. Decide whether a value is posted, calculated, forecast, plan, partial, stale, or unreconciled before using it in a decision.
Reads as. The evidence badge names the provenance. Actual cells read posted source; forecast cells read governed calculation; plan cells read controlled model. A partial or stale value is never rounded up into a complete total.
Derived from. The evidence vocabulary is shared by statements, charts, cards, and registers. The same state renders the same way everywhere.
Controlled by. The calculation engine that produced the cell and the period state that allowed it.
Use it to. Separate a measured value from a projected one, and to tell an unavailable value from a measured zero.

Everyone
Task. Inspect the income statement, balance sheet, or cash flow statement on one controlled taxonomy, then compare the selected period with the prior period or prior year.
Reads as. Income, balance sheet, and cash flow are tabs of one destination. Actual, remaining forecast, blended, and outlook views keep their basis and cutoff visible.
Derived from. Posted actual lines, opening balances, the append-only cash ledger, and the persisted forecast run. Articulation and cash reconciliation are computed once and shown as differences, never as plugs.
Controlled by. The statement run identity and the accounting period state. A closed period rejects new actual writes at the database.
Use it to. Tie a line to its source, compare movement, and see whether the balance sheet articulates and whether cash flow reconciles.

Everyone
Task. Move a period from open to review to closed only after every required gate passes or carries an unexpired waiver.
Reads as. The period list shows state, certification, and blockers. The gate board shows each required check, its result, the blocking record, and any waiver.
Derived from. Actual presence, statement runs, variance explanations, workpaper conclusions, balance-sheet articulation, cash reconciliation, and approvals. A waiver records a reason and an expiry; it does not turn a failure into a pass.
Controlled by. The close transition, the certification record, and the database period state. Closing locks actual writes.
Use it to. Prove the pack is complete, record the certification, and print the close pack for review.

Service owners
Task. Compare a governed plan with actual and forecast, then test a scenario without changing the governed baseline.
Reads as. The annual plan shows targets by service and company, version state, and prior-plan variance. The hybrid plan reconciles to the governed forecast exactly. Person and monthly views keep capacity and cash visible.
Derived from. Plan lines, forecast outputs, workforce capacity, cash facts, and driver inputs. A scenario is a separate family linked to a forecast version; it never rewrites the governed run.
Controlled by. Plan version state, driver ownership, and the approval transition. Approved versions and their lines reject mutation.
Use it to. Explain a target, test a lever, and keep the approved plan and governed forecast intact.

Service owners
Task. Read service demand, backlog, margin, and capacity on one operating page, then drill into projects, work items, or the daily board.
Reads as. Each service card carries demand, remaining revenue, direct cost, margin, required and available hours, utilization, and the binding constraint. The capacity chart states its basis and exposes a data-table equivalent.
Derived from. Statement runs, project periods, capacity periods, work items, agreements, and planning events. Project remaining revenue reconciles to the install service opening backlog.
Controlled by. Service definitions, capacity periods, and work-item status. Required hours are not double-counted across projects and recurring agreements.
Use it to. Find the constraint, test capacity against demand, and move a job or an exception to its owner.

Service owners
Task. Prepare a monthly review, decide what changes, and reconcile the sources that disagree.
Reads as. The review has performance, preparation, decisions, and evidence views. Decisions show a preview and an impact history. Reconciliations separate classified timing from unexplained variance.
Derived from. Pending inputs, material variance facts, open workpapers, decision assumptions, the scenario engine, and the existing statement, ledger, billing, and recurring sources.
Controlled by. Explicit approval. A preview persists nothing; an approval stores an immutable impact snapshot and leaves the governed forecast unchanged.
Use it to. Take a decision with its evidence attached, and keep unexplained differences visible instead of netting them to zero.

Everyone
Task. See the records that need this membership, then see the services and decisions this membership contributed to.
Reads as. Queues combine decisions due, workpapers to prepare or review, inputs awaiting approval, releases to sign, and assigned exceptions. Each item names its owner role and due date.
Derived from. Ownership and queue registers plus the existing decision, workpaper, input, release, and exception records. Claiming an item does not approve the underlying object.
Controlled by. The membership identity and the queue claim. Approvals stay with the governed release and decision gates.
Use it to. Start the day from owned work instead of browsing every register.

Task. Produce a clean printed pack for a statement, a close period, or the monthly business review.
Reads as. The print action removes navigation, account chrome, and screen-only controls. The print header keeps the tenant, period, basis, and cutoff at the top of the page.
Derived from. The same controlled data shown on screen. Print does not recalculate a value or create a second copy of the content.
Controlled by. The page basis and cutoff that were selected for the view. Change the view before printing if a different basis is needed.
Use it to. Attach a controlled page to a review, or hand a close pack to a reviewer without screen chrome.
